Meaning of Car Trims: Toyota.

According to The News Wheel, the trim levels for a vehicle are just different versions of the model. Each trim level has different features, with the higher trim levels offering more equipment. The trim levels make each model identifiable by its particular features. Trim changes to the interior often include upgrades for the upholstery such as leather and adding higher quality materials on the roof lining, side panels, and flooring, moonroofs etc.
Furthermore,  depending on the Manufacturer and Car model, there can be as few as one Trim or Six or more trim for some vehicles. According to many Consumer Reports, In most Cases there are between four or five trims.  The base trim, or the entry-level model, usually doesn’t have much equipment, but it is the most affordable. Each trim level after this offers more features and options until you get to the highest level trim. This usually has almost all of the features from the lower trims with some extras thrown in as well. The highest trim is the most expensive, and for most makes and models it offers features such as heated seats, leather upholstery, the best infotainment system, and all the advanced safety equipment. For example, In every Toyota car, the XLE is always higher than the SE and LE trims, For Hondas, The EX is always higher than the LX, for the Lexus, a 350 will always  be higher than a 300 or 250 trims.
It is also worthy to note that  each Car manufacturer has its own naming system for different trim levels. In some cases, it’s a pair of  letters such as : L, LE, SE,CE, RX, ES, GL, GT, ML etc. or even a name like Touring, Grand Touring, Sport, Limited, Platinum etc. Some others make use of Alpha-numeric codes like FX35 in the infinity, Cx-9 in the Mazda.
