It was normally advised to change the oil every 3,000 miles or 6-months, but with modern lubricants most engines today have recommended oil change intervals of 5,000 to 7,500 miles or A year at most. Moreover, if your car’s engine requires full-synthetic motor oil, it might go as far as 15,000 miles between services!
Mind You, You cannot judge engine oil condition by its color, Hence strictly adhering to the Car manufacturer’s maintenance schedule for oil changes is paramount.
I’d recommend you get yourself a simple pen-shaped pneumatic/mechanical gauge to ensure accurate readings.
1. Firstly Check/confirm the tyre placard – This is usually inside one of the front door openings – or the owner’s manual for the correct tyre pressures for your car. N.B: The pressure often differs for the front and the rear tyres.
2. Unscrew the cap on the air valve of your tyre.
3. Push your tyre pressure gauge firmly onto the tyre valve.
4. Look at the pressure reading on the gauge.
5. If the reading is low, attach the air hose to the tyre valve and increase the pressure to the correct level, rechecking with your own gauge if necessary.
6. Screw the cap back onto the tyre air valve
Routinely moving your car’s wheels and tyres around the car – such as from the front to the back – helps even out the wear across all four of them, lengthening the life of the set. Different cars wear the front and back tyres at different rates, or can have different tyre sizes front and back, so there is a correct way to rotate tyres for each model. This is usually described in the owner’s manual. If you’re unsure, check with your nearest Mechanic Shop where you can also have the job done. It is much easier to rotate tyres with the car up on a hoist than with a jack in your driveway, so it makes sense to do a routine tyre rotation when you get your car serviced.
Auto detailing, is an activity of systematically performing operations and procedures that keep the vehicle in its best possible condition, especially cosmetic, as opposed to mechanical. This is achieved by removing both visible and invisible contaminants from the vehicle’s interior, and polishing the exterior to its original blemish free finish. The most basic detail options include an exterior wash and wax, interior vacuuming, window cleaning and surface polishing.
It is of utmost importance that You get your Car fixed once you’ve noticed signs of Leakages, overlooking this, will definitely lead to knocking of your Engine, and this is not a good thing in anyway possible.
There are several causes to this, but I’ll mention just 2 major causes:
1. Improperly-installed brakes, rotors, calipers, and even wheels can cause the problem to persist or even get worse.
2. Another common cause for vibrating or pulsating brakes is heat spots on your rotors.
This is very important because Routinely moving your car’s wheels and tyres around the car – such as from the front to the back – helps even out the wear across all four of them, lengthening the life of the set.
